Chandigarh, October 22: Ignite 2024, a two-day flagship event of the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at Chandigarh University, will provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs and startups from the university to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures.
Of the 124 feasible ideas selected from 4,738 registrations, 35 Startups have been chosen for the first cohort of Ignite 2024. The event will feature Aman Gupta, Co-Founder of boAt and Shark Tank India judge, as the chief guest. Venture capital investors, financial institutions, NITI Aayog, and renowned entrepreneurs from across India will also participate in this national-level startup festival.
Deepinder Singh Sandhu, Senior Director of Chandigarh University, revealed that the 35 Startups selected for the first cohort of Ignite 2024 focus on Education and Media, Finance and Business, Manufacturing Technology and Innovation, Social Impact and Healthcare, and Sustainability and Cleantech.
Students aspiring to become entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to interact with Aman Gupta during the “Unfiltered with Mr Aman Gupta” session on the second day of Ignite 2024, following a special address by Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chancellor of Chandigarh University.
The opening day of Ignite 2024 on October 23 will feature a Cohort Exhibition inaugurated by Rohit Gupta, Program Director of the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog. This exhibition will showcase 60 internal and five external Startups to a wide audience, including key stakeholders from government ministries, incubators, and the startup ecosystem.
